Vacancy - Electrical Engineer

Circular Energy is a start-up keen to produce clean power from North Sea gas. We are in conceptual design of our first offshore installation comprising gas production, power generation and carbon capture plant. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to help design key aspects of our first offshore installation with voltage levels between 230 VAC and 220 kV. Jointly with the Process Engineer and the Facilities Engineer (s)he will "own" the surface facilities throughout design.

This position is offered on a contract basis + share package and is on a parttime basis for now, with opportunity for fulltime basis expected during 2018.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Liaise with Circular Energy's partners including the TSO, the Windfarm operator, our Engineering contractor and our power traders
  • Consider alternative configurations for power export
  • Produce an Electrical Operating Philosophy
  • Produce SLD's and power calculations (ETAP or similar)
  • Support the selection of key items of equipment

Our team consists of a mixture of experienced and energetic people (some are both). Depending on the seniority and the availability of the candidate we can modify the job requirements. Key is the drive to help implement an innovative concept that will push the limits of engineering and provide a key piece of the energy transition puzzle.
